Monitor, Control and Profile

With the upcoming version of the database you will be able to monitor, to control and to profile the database server as well as queries.
An SNMP agent will be provided as well as the WCF assemblies allowing access to the reporting and controlling facilities of the database server.

The SNMP agent supports versions 1 and 2c of the SNMP protocol, and can be used with any third party SNMP monitoring and controlling software. The MIB database is also provided with the SNMP agent.

Monitoring of the database is an important feature of the enterprise world. Many companies across the world use Zabbix (www.zabbix.com) or Nagios (www.nagios.com) to monitor their servers, operating systems and components, networking equipment.
With the SNMP agent in place the Eloquera Database can be monitored by any of these enterprise-level products.

With the SNMP agent you can profile your queries and LINQ statements. You also can see the following information:

Who are the clients?

What was the last query?

How long did it take to perform the query?

How many objects did the query return?

If a query too slow, now you can see whether indexes were involved.

Note: LINQ queries will be demonstrated as equivalent SQL queries. Database server uses internal query language that it will map to SQL equivalent for reporting purposes.

With SNMP monitoring and control now you can see and change the cache configuration and status

Now you can make Backup and Restore the database via the SNMP agent.
